TCL Group, founders and organizers of Abaco Business Outlook (ABO), have announced that the forum is scheduled to take place September 22 at New Vision Ministries in Marsh Harbour. The seventh in the Northern Bahamas series of the popular multi-island franchise, ABO will focus on Abaco’s opportunities for further economic growth under the theme “Strengthening Abaco’s Economy: Entrepreneurship, Technology and Tradition”.
The national spotlight will shine on Grand Bahama Island on Thurs Feb 25, 2010 when some 12 carefully selected leaders from government, business and healthcare will share their insights, strategies, plans and projections for the leading sectors of the Grand Bahamian economy at the Grand Bahama Business Outlook. This annual one-day forum organized by the TCL Group has stood the test of time and is now in its 12th year with the theme, “Take Action Now - 2010-2020: A Decade for Action and Accountability”. The conference will be held at Portobello, Our Lucaya and begins at 8:30am.
The Director of the National Insurance Board, Algernon Cargill, is slated to speak at the 2010 Grand Bahama Bahamas Business Outlook, where he will describe in detail NIB’s newest benefits and the Board’s bold plans for refurbishing its entire system.
Mr Cargill’s presentation is a part of a public relations drive to educate Bahamians about NIB’s planned changes. He will be addressing key members of the business community and the wide range of professionals who make up the audience of BBO annually, whose input and partnership is important to the success of the upgrade .

On Thursday, February 25, a powerful, accurate and engaging exhibition will be mounted by the Grand Bahama Heritage Foundation at the Portobello at Our Lucaya venue for the 12th Annual Grand Bahama Business Outlook. Grand Bahama Heritage Foundation’s co-chair, Chantal Bethel and member Darius Williams will discuss the exhibition as a part of their shared address to conference delegates on the topic, “Art, Heritage, History and Culture Go Hand in Hand”.
